i have often wondered about how it might affect our pick-up game if we started keeping track of stats. I even started coming up with spreadsheets of data to be filled in during the match (should anyone be sober enough to use hash marks)What was decided was that while it might be interesting to know how many scores a player has in a season, it might also be a source of frustration and discouragement for newer players. how does it affect recruitment? when does a player start keeping stats?
and while you are at it, how about some stats for assists, steals and blocks?
